Camp Mak-A-Dream is a cost-free camp for children, teens and young adults touched by cancer, and their siblings. The camp is located in Gold Creek, Montana, approximately 65 miles east of Missoula. Founded by Michigan residents, Harry and Sylvia Granader, Camp Mak-A-Dream has welcomed more than 7000 children and young adults since it opened 23 years ago.
Camp Mak-A-Dream offers a variety of activities, including swimming, a ropes course, archery, outdoor games, hiking, arts & crafts, putt-putt golf, group cabin chat and much, much more. Educational workshops, group discussions and guest speakers are offered during the Teen Camp and Young Adult Conferences.
As a medically supervised facility, Camp Mak-A-Dream welcomes participants both in and out of treatment. A state of the art medical center and medical staff and volunteers make it possible to give treatment such as oral chemotherapy, IV therapy, blood transfusions, platelets, and blood tests.
The Michigan Chapter provides partial or full financial aid to campers who are in need of travel assistance to Montana. Please complete the travel assistance forms and return to the Michigan Chapter as early as possible. Travel scholarships are based on financial need of the camper and funds available.
The Travel Assistance Application gets mailed to the Michigan Chapter.
